Krakow Opening!

Well last night we ventured to the course for the opening ceremony! Unforunatly i didnt have much of a team uniform, but i managed to look ok with my jumper underneath my tshirt! it was sooo cold! But there was a good march past of nations. Unfortunatley i was the only Aussie so i had to walk first behind my flag, but still pretty fun! There was also some dancing from some local kids which was pretty entertaining! I am glad i wasnt the mascot here! They had two dragon mascots that got tackled a fair bit.... oh the days!

Last night we also attended a formal gathering with the Vice president of Krakow. Mike(Nz), Hannah(Ireland), Natalie(Swiss) and myself headed to the ceremony. One of the best things about being the only member of your team is that you get to go to all the official dinners with good food! We ate some good food and met the president who didnt speak a word of English, but we luckily had a translator! It was a great change from the potato we have been eating everyday!!

Raced this morning and luckily for me everyone goes through to Semis! The course was quite hard with practically all the downs in eddies! But i had a better second run so that was promising! Its all on tomorrow with semis and ten going through to finals. Unforuntaely i have some tough competition with the current world champion and about 6 top 20 ranked girls! But hopefully i may just squeeze into the finals!! Ill see what i can do!!!

Anyways i finally found a computer that will let me put some photos on so here are some from the last couple of weeks!
