This time Tommy, Fritzi and I travelled to Austria to meet Christian Bahman and his girlfriend Elena at the Oetz slalom course, where we were off to paddle the river Oetz and later on in the day the river Inn.
The water level was pretty high so the slalom course was pretty hard to paddle, but i just followed tommy and it was all good. There were some narly stoppers near the bottom of the course! But after a quick run down we continued down the river. The river is pretty wide most of the way but has some pretty good holes and some awsome waves to surf.
We finished the run some 3 hours later and met fritzi at the get out point, as she was the shuttle bunny for the day!
We then went into town and had a quick bite to eat. I tried some Keisershman which is pretty much pancakes and some other cheese pasta dish that was very yummy.
After lunch we went to the Inn river to paddle that. I enjoyed this much more as I didnt have to fight for lines the whole way down and the waves were easier to surf and much more fun! So Elena, Tommy and myself paddled down for another couple of hours!
After that we headed back home, all of us stuffed! We had a quick bite to eat with Tommys parents and then headed home to bed! We left at 7am and got back home at 10pm.... once again what a day!!!
