Trekking!! The longest day ever!

Kynan, Fritzi, Tommy and I set off early Saturday morning to the Alps on the German/Austrian boarder!

What a massive day!

We stopped first at an amazing church on the way. It had this awsome garden and was fantastic inside! Unfortunately there was a service on and we couldnt really go in but i got a quick photo of the inside from the door way! What an amazing church!

We then arrived at the mountain, which unfortunately wasnt the Zugspitze, but was a smaller mountain (but still impressively massive) near to it!

We climbed and climbed and climbed for hours. On the way we walked up many steep tracks (my legs dying, even from the start)and an awsome gorge with the clearest water running through it! It was one of the best things i have seen! There was also massive ice blocks hanging about in certain places and waterfalls everywhere! When we got out of the gorge i thought that would be it, but no... we kept going for another 45 minutes uphill pretty much the whole time.... me lagging behind most of the time!

When we got to the little hut we stopped and had a great lunch and a big drink then it was off again to walk around and down the other side of the gorge! And again it was uphill a little bit but most of it was downhill! We walked over this pretty high brige that looked down into the gorge!

After that we kept walking down and down till we got to the bottom, which after such a long day my feet felt pretty good when we stopped! We then went down to the big lake near by and tried to get a coffee, but it was closing so we went back down the road to a small lake and which was situated near a hotel where we had a coffee. The water was so clear and blue! It was awsome! There was also many fish and because the water was so clear i took some awsome photos with my camera of the fish!

The boys also decided to join the fish in the 8 degree water and go for a swim as well! They were quite short of breath when they got out of the water, but said it had helped thier body after the long walk. They also took some awsome shots underwater which you should check out below.

After that we drove home another way and stopped to see an amazing castle! It was once the king of Bavarias and it was so impressive, im hoping to one day go up there on a tour, i think it would be amazing, unfortunatley it was late in the day and very busy with tourists on a Saturday so we kept on the road home!

When we arrived in Augsburg we went to John Farmer, an American style retaurant near the house to have a good feed after a massive day! Afterwards we went home to check out some photos and then hit the sack!

Man what a day and im actually not as sore as i thought i would be!
